Pediatric Weight Control Program
The Pediatric Weight Control Program at Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital teaches lifestyle, eating and exercise habits for the entire family. Small family groups meet weekly for six months; more than 80 percent of children lose weight—and parents lose weight too! Parent Information & Referral Center (PIRC)
PIRC is a free community service that can address common children’s health care issues and offer child care advice. Call 650-498-KIDS (5437) or 800-690-2282 to speak with PIRC’s experienced pediatric nurses.

Your Child’s Health University
Your Child’s Health University at Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital offers classes, seminars and resources designed to foster good health and enhance the lives of parents and children. Topics range from Cesarean delivery to maternity fitness and breastfeeding. Child Car Seat Fitting Station
If your child is under the age of 6 or 60 pounds, he or she must ride in a safety or booster seat. Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital offers a child passenger Fitting Station by a certified technician. Healthy Choices—Smart Moves
Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital is bringing the Healthy Choices—Smart Moves program to local middle schools to help ease the difficulties often associated with the cognitive, developmental and emotional changes of the preteen and teen years. Topics include exercise, nutrition, stress, drugs and alcohol, relationships and goal setting. To bring this program to your school’s fifth and sixth graders, please contact Colleen Haesloop at 650-724-3783
