Health Matters

Stanford Medicine will host Health Matters, a community-wide event featuring interactive and educational programs about health for the entire family. The event will be held May 16 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. and is free and open to the public.

The day will include a number of lectures by distinguished faculty who will present the latest information on topics such as healthy aging, infectious disease and the impact of exercise and nutrition on health conditions, including cancer. In celebration of the 25th anniversary of the Stanford Health Library, medical librarians will be on hand to answer health questions and help visitors research health-related topics. High school students can take part in a "mini medical school" program.

Participants also will be able to sample healthy food options. All activities will take place at the Li Ka Shing Center for Learning and Knowledge, 291 Campus Drive, on the medical school campus.
